Cartoon Cover Reads written by Indie Christian Authors
My passion and purpose since I’ve began my authoring journey is to create stories that contain Christian characters, morals, and values while still addressing sin and real-life problems, situations, and conflicts. I wanted to write stories that could be enjoyed by everyone regardless of their faith, but I specifically didn’t want to shy away from including my faith in my books. I’m not the only one doing this, so I wanted to highlight some Christian authors who write perfectly hilarious, swoony, and heartfelt stories that do not shy away from their faith.
I’ve included one book per author featured, but if you love their story, be sure to check out their other works! Let’s make faith-filled romance great by supporting Christian authors who are writing great stories!

But between secrets from both Hannah’s past and present and the growing attraction between them, the friend game they’re playing may end with them both losing their jobs and any hope for a real relationship.

The Grump and the girl next door
A breakup and a breakdown were not part of the plan—my car. Not me. However, I’m teetering toward needing a tune-up because this grumpy mechanic has me running on empty.
When given the choice between making good on some savage song lyrics after my ex-boyfriend does me dirty or driving south, I take the risk—the one that probably won’t get me arrested. Here I come Hogwash-somewhere-or-other!

Now I’m stuck in this rough around the edges town and it turns out I co-own the dump—it’s seen more storms than sunshine—with the grump next door. I’m not sure what to make of it or JQ after our meet rude, but watching the retired
Navy SEAL flex his skills and his muscles isn’t exactly a hardship.

Lassoed by love and bingsu kisses
CARLY:
Carly's life is best described in two words: Under Pressure. She's drowning her sorrows in spoonfuls of bingsu, irritated with the constant stress from her job as a psychologist in New York City. She worries she'll never find her soulmate because everything is too hectic—even though her mother and grandmother take it upon themselves to be her virtual matchmakers. Carly practices a healthy dose of retail therapy and dancing to k-pop while stress baking and attempting not to burn down her kitchen.
Longing for a breather, Carly escapes to her favorite break from reality in rural North Dakota to visit her best friend, Addison, at her family's inn.
The problem is, Addison's infuriatingly attractive cowboy cousin, Ben, still works the family's business as the ranch hand, making avoiding the man she once thought she could love impossible. How could she still have feelings for a man who thinks she’s just a high maintenance city girl?
BEN:
Ben lives a simple, calm, and quiet life, like the whispering prairie grass in the rural plains of North Dakota–that is if he isn’t on the back of a bucking horse in rodeos. He prefers spending time with horses and his camera over people any day, which makes it hard to find his dream woman, especially in a small town, since it seems like everyone good is taken.
When his cousin, Addison, drops a manure-smelling bomb on him that Carly is coming to visit for a few weeks, it worsens when she asks him to pick Carly up from the airport. What irritated him the most about her was how she made him feel so small, which reminded him of his dad. How could he ever be with someone that made him feel insignificant? He’d rather clean prickly ash out of trees behind the barn than spend time with her.
Desperate to help the sister of one of his students who is battling thoughts of suicide, he urgently asks Carly for help. Will this horse therapy partnership pull them closer together? Or could it push them away from each other for good? And will Carly be able to push off her mother and grandmother's matchmaking before it’s too late?
Saddle up for a delightful ride through romance, laughter, and bingsu-flavored kisses! Preorder your copy today!

Forget Me Knot
Sweet and Salty make the best combo.
Life is simple and sweet and best enjoyed with twisted, buttery carbs. Or that’s what I tell myself when I relocate to quaint Honey Hill, Georgia and open up my very own pretzel bakery, Knotty & Nice. I may have been skeptical of my sister’s love for the wacky town, but its Southern charm and welcoming business owners completely steal my heart.
Then in strolls dreamy Jack Jones, a pretzel in one hand and a bouquet of flowers in the other, and my romance lovin’ heart runs wild. I’m convinced it’s love at first sight... until Jack acts as if he doesn’t know me the next day, leaving me to wonder if his charming, but strangely elusive nature might be more of a plot twist than I’m ready for.

My life feels like an overrated medical drama, but with far less moody music and zero questionable elevator liaisons. Some days, you’ll find me outgoing. On others, I stick to myself, my flower shop, and a trusted schedule—one that keeps me in control no matter what or who each day brings.
But when I meet my new neighbor, Dinah Knot, a huge part of me wants to throw that carefully constructed routine out the window. She’s stunning and warm, like daisies in sunshine, and illogically difficult to walk away from… until the confusion that's become my daily companion makes it difficult to decide if her strawberry blonde hair and sugary smile are irresistibly enticing or just too sweet for someone like me.
Yet, I can’t help wondering which version of me Dinah would choose.

Sun To Me
Former foster child Ember Bryant is content with her life: pouring lattes at the local coffee shop, volunteering at the library, and happily devouring romance novels to share about on her bookstagram account. She has other aspirations, certainly, but it’s not until an opportunity to take on an interior design project for a well-known figure in Balsam Falls that she decides to take a risk.
The catch? Doing the project will mean working alongside Graham Del Ray, a man as gorgeous and successful as he is gruff and elusive.
Since becoming the VP of Del Ray Development, work has been Graham Del Ray’s primary focus. If his childhood taught him anything it’s to keep life neat and orderly, and then retreat to his country home with its wildflower field to unwind. Until a curveball is thrown at him: the offer of a contracting job he can’t say no to.
The downfall? The project’s interior designer is the pretty girl from the coffee shop, who he hasn’t been able to get out of his head for the past four years.
Despite their best efforts, they develop an unlikely friendship—the whimsical romantic and the no-nonsense developer. But as they begin to learn who the other truly is, encouraging one another to reach for their dreams, denying the chemistry between them becomes impossible.
Without the restraints of their pasts, will they open up enough to build a life together, or will time shed too much light on their differences? -

Trading her surfboard for a pair of cowboy boots, she is exiled to Callaway Ranch, a little corner of the world that belongs to her Aunt Maeve, the whispered about black sheep of the family.
Through it all, she realizes that things aren't always as they seem and that family secrets run deep. As she searches to find her identity apart from everything she's ever known, Oakleigh discovers that her journey at Callaway Ranch comes complete with boundless love and compassion, handsome bull riders, and a soul-filling cup of cowboy coffee. -
Even if it hurts
My life and career have conditioned me to be prepared for—and desensitized to—traumatic events. Rather, they should’ve. But one phone call blindsided me in a way I never expected, and now there's a screaming eight-month-old in my custody.
I would’ve done anything to ensure my niece didn’t enter the system, but I never wanted a family. I never wanted ties to anyone, period.
But then my meddling office administrator forcibly hires a nanny for me, and all my resolute vows start crumbling when I come face to face with Lainey Pearson . . . again.
She’s no one—should be no one. Just an oblivious girl I saved nearly a year ago. But she’s the only one who’s ever rocked me. Consumed me. I immediately want to fire her, but with the social worker breathing down my neck, I need her.
Then again, now that she’s fallen back into my life, having a working boundary might be for the best. My life doesn’t allow for relationships, and last I checked, it was frowned upon to date your employees.
Especially when they’re already in a relationship.
